I’ve loved photography my entire life.

As a Washington, D.C., native (but a country girl at heart), I first dreamt of being an equine photographer. I later fell in love with portrait photography, photojournalism, and documentary photography as well. At Shepherd University—where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography—I would spend up to 8 hours daily in the dark room, perfecting my craft.

In 2003, I kicked off my professional career in the event industry, and I’ve been photographing weddings for over 17 years. I’ve also worked in the photography business as a post-production manager, retoucher, editor, educator, art director, and digital asset manager.

While I have photographed some of the biggest, most over-the-top weddings imaginable, I am now excited to be focusing on more intimate celebrations, and on my two passions: people and horses. A rider myself since age 12, I am happy to help wrangle both four-legged and two-legged subjects on my shoots!

My business is firmly rooted in customer service—top priority is putting my clients at ease in front of the camera. (And I can be as silly as needed to get a genuine smile out of the kiddos!) I take pride in bringing sensitivity, creativity, and enthusiasm to my work. “That was actually really fun,” is my favorite comment to hear after a shoot. My goal is for clients to feel good about themselves when they see their final images.

Please feel free to reach out to me personally with any questions or to schedule your shoot.
